Day 1: Arrival Cairo – Welcome to Egypt

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt (Around The Clock) Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (arrival procedures) and then he will escort you to the hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At the hotel, the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids and Sakkara Tour

Breakfast then move to start your blissful day kicking off with the Step Pyramid at Sakkara which was designed by the architect, Imhotep for his master King Zoser. Lunch at a good quality local restaurant. After that, move to visit the enchanting pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus at Giza. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body, dates back to the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple which belongs to the Pyramid of Chephren. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing Tour to the Egyptian Museum, Salah El Din Citadel and Khan El Khalili Bazaar

The day starts with a tour of the Egyptian museum of antiquities, which was established in 1902 near the city center of Cairo. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art — the world’s largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamun collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry, as it was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.

Following the visit to the museum, you will go to the citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster mosque. Drive to the old section of Cairo where you will pass by the highest mountain in Cairo. The fort of Saladin was built on a cliff of this mount for protecting the city against the Crusaders.

In 1830 Mohamed Ali, the king of Egypt ordered to the building of the Alabaster Mosque inside the citadel. You will go inside the mosque to see its main components and learn about the Islamic basics. Aside from its huge size and exquisite beauty, one of the beautiful elements of this mosque is that it has two identical slim minarets, top-covered with lead as the mosque domes and semi-domes. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the mosque, where you can see the Giza pyramids on clear days.

Day 4: Free Day: Optional Day Tour to Alexandria or Fayoum

Alexandria:  First visit Pompay’s Pillar. It was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean. Then you drive to visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Lunch at local restaurant in Alexandria, and then we proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs ( Light House ) of Alexandria then to Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Finally you will drive back to your hotel in Cairo.

Fayoum: all visits are in Wadi El Ryan, designated as Protected Area in 1989. We will start our tour to Wadi Hitan Protected Area (Valley of the Whales), about 90 km far from Fayoum. Wadi Hitan or Valley of the Whales is located in the Protected Area of  Wadi El Ryan, and it was designated by UNISCO as a world Heritage Site in recognition of the 40 million year –old whale skeletons found there.  On the way to Wadi El Ryan,  Water Falls, visit Mudawara Mountain. Then into Wadi Al Ryan Water Falls. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression located in the western desert, Wadi Rayan consists of two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, formed in 1970 by an overflow of drainage water from the farmlands in Fayoum. Late Lunch will be served at a good quality restaurant.  After that transfer back to Cairo.

Day 5: Fly Cairo to Luxor – Nile Cruise Tours

Transfer to Cairo Airport for flight to Luxor where you will be met and transferred to embark your 5-star luxury Nile Cruise. In the afternoon, you will be accompanied for a wonderful tour to the East Bank of the River Nile in Luxor. Here you will see the captivating Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple that reflect the bewitching Pharaonic history. Return to the cruise for afternoon tea and dinner. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise Sightseeing

After breakfast transfer to the West Bank of the Nile in Luxor and visit the Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch and afternoon tea while sailing to Edfu via the Esna Lock. Dinner on board. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 7: Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Enjoy breakfast on board before visiting Horus Temple at Edfu. Return to the ship for lunch and sail to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, visit the temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Return to the cruise and continue sailing to Aswan. Dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 8: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

After breakfast pay a visit to the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the majestic Philae Temple. Enjoy lunch and dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 9: Final Departure

Disembark after breakfast, free time in Aswan. Then, you will be driven to Aswan Airport for flight to Cairo, then you will take the final Flight back Home from Cairo International Airport.
